Software Picks

Software is very subjective and there are a lot of different tastes, but I'll share my personal favs for a few categories.

Web Browsers

The web browser is where I spend most of my time, so it must look good. That's why I use Zen. Zen is very minimalistic. I've set it up to where I never see most of the web browsers ui and only the web page. Zen is a fork of firefox, but I think that it is a firefox in going in the right direction. The web browser is still in early development, but it has become very stable.

Code Editors

For most languages I would recommend Kate. ITS STUNNINGLY beautiful. It does lack some more advanced autocomplete tho.

For web dev tho it's hard to recommend anything other than Visual Studio Code. Its auto complete is so advanced and its needed for the redundant html and css. It also has a lot of add-ons for web dev. On other programming languages that aren't so well supported by it like python it is a lot more of a challenge to get it working.

Beauty

If you want to make windows pretty it very hard. The only real way to get a good customization experience is to use windhawk. It is a open source extension repository that mainly focuses on making windows pretty but you may still need a few tutorials to use it well.
